My Frog Recycles All His Trash

A Funny Frog Poem / Environment Poem for Kids

My frog recycles all his trash. He eats organic food. He cares for the environment. He's quite the hipster dude. Reduce, reuse, recycle is the motto of my frog. He drives a solar-powered car to cut back on the smog. He helps endangered species and opposes climate change. He knows that, since he's just a frog, this might seem kind of strange. But still he does his very best to keep our planet clean. He thinks it's only natural. He's proud of being green. --Kenn Nesbitt

PEN PAL LETTERS

Hi kids,

Yuri, Tilly, Willow, Ying Ying have written EXCELLENT letters that actually answer their pen pal's questions. There is a bag on my teacher station with the left over pen pals letters. And at least 25 of you have them glued into your book, but you haven't finished the letter. 

I need your help.

We've written 51 letters to West End. This is amazing.

The problem is that they have 107 kids, so we've got quite a few left that didn't get a letter :-(

Please help by choosing a kid and writing to them.

PRODUCTION CREATIONS

We have been busy in Poutama learning everything for our performance, and making our costumes. Special thanks to all the parents that donated material and ideas, and those who came and helped us cut and glue. Really appreciated!

Kind Hearts

We were very fortunate to have Ying Ying, Jimi and Serenity represent Poutama at the Kind Heart event last week. Along with Eva, Logan, Addison and Kyan, they were excellent representatives of Riverdale School.

What needs to be included:

·  Pictures of the scenes that summarise the story line 

·  Their year group and the date of their masterpiece on the bottom right hand corner

·  Can be EITHER digital or hand written

·  NEED TO BE IN BY TUESDAY 3 o'clock 

·  The poster only needs be a square to fit the CD case (In the picture cut the purple piece off)

Bean Growing

 

One of our reading groups got to grow beans last week.  The seeds are now safely planted in the Riverdale vegetable garden.  We can't wait to eat the beans.
